City of Joliet
Storm Water Display – The City’s management of stormwater cleanliness (quality) is governed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the National Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit process. Residents will be encouraged to participate in environmentally conscience storm water management through the use of rain barrels, rain gardens, and the proper disposal of trash, pet waste, oil, and other contaminants. Contaminants and debris should never be dumped into a storm sewer drain as these contaminants directly affect the water quality of our streams and rivers. ** Fish from display will be given away throughout the day!
City of Joliet Forestry
City of Joliet Forestry will be giving away tree saplings, handing out tree care INFO and answering any tree related questions to the best of my knowledge . Tree saplings donated by Arbor Tek Tree Service.

Crate Free IL
Crate Free IL is a 501c3 animal welfare organization devoted to raising awareness throughout the state about the deplorable conditions under which factory farm animals live. We are also attempting to affect legislative change in this area, as there are currently no laws in the state of Illinois to protect these animals. We hope to spread this message to those in attendance at Bluestem.

Pilcher Park Nature Center is a part of the Joliet Park District. We have an animal museum with reptiles, amphibians, and fish and approximately 10 miles of hiking trails through the forest. We have a nuture-based preschool inside the center, special events, nature programs, and many other family based events throughout the year. We will have live animals at Bluestem and other items to touch.

As an acupuncturist, I will offer ear acupuncture following the NDDA protocol. This involves the placement of 5 needles in one’s ear for 20 minutes. The points chosen: Shen Men, Kidney, Sympathic, Liver, and Lung. Before treatment a release form is signed.
