I will be displaying powerful, inexpensive tools to help communities help homeless families and youth. Additionally, I will invite participation in legislative advocacy campaigns to address causes of homelessness and to encourage solutions.
Help save pets is a private pet rescue founded in 2000 as the Plainfield Humane Society. In 2008 we changed our name to Help Save Pets since we grew and operate out of four locations. We have placed over 9,000 animals since 2000. All animals we rescue are given shelter, food, medical aid and vaccinations. We are a no kill rescue. We are a volunteer based organization.

As part of the Montessori adolescent curriculum, we do gardening and have a class business. We sell vegetable, herb, and native perennial plants that we started in our greenhouse this spring. We use sustainable gardening practices and use no chemicals.

Moon and Stars Soaps makes handmade soap that is gentle on the skin, perfume roll-ons, lotion bars, body/massage oils, body sprays, bath salts, and related bath items.
Our handmade soap is made from scratch in small batches using either the cold or hot process method. Glycerin, a gentle humectant that helps the skin retain water, is produced in these methods.
We will be selling fruit Smoothies, organic and regular coffee, rice Krispy treats, muffins and cookies.

At Bluestem I plan to make fruit smoothies for visitors. While serving these drinks, I will explain how specific foods address specific health problems.
